Awesome performance. You kind of get choked when you see the tears collecting in her eyes. Just when you think nothing more can be pulled from the song... Her vibrato is so natural it almost feels audio engineered. How can she hold notes on key sooooo accurately live? and- I forgot to mention, her emotiveness is so down to earth, so honest in this highest of productions. So much Honesty, it's hard to believe! I ended up buying the show. I cant get over this Erik/Christine pair. Ramin and Sierra really are perfect for their roles. Download the phantom of the opera at the royal albert hall dvd. I think her acting is better in 25th in london mainly in Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again (even if her voice is more better here) and when she give back the ring to the Phantom, her expression, face is amazing. I really thought that she cried but not, superbe acting. Ive never seen this before and oh my who ever he is can make that cello talk. Amazing. I've been an IMDb user for a few years now, but this title is the reason for which I write my first review here. This first review, as well as the 10 stars I give, I hope these will somehow (highest rated search, etc) attract at least one more person to this title, which is essentially flawless.
It's hard to review a title which is not really a movie. It combines the best of the cinema, theater and opera. The cinema, as after all it's still a movie. Secondly, as it's an opera, the actors and the crew perform live and you get most of their talent this way. The combining element is the emotion which you do not see without the close-ups in the traditional theater. The actors' play is simply excellent. Scenes depicting relationships between the main characters are played by them so perfectly, that simply cause tears in eyes (vide the final one of the first part.
It's just incredible, that this masterpiece remains so little-known.

Anyone with ears can hear this is freaking good.

I bet it's a tough job making the very handsome Ramin look really ugly.

Fun fact: the Christine on the bridge was played by Katie Hall (shes also played Christine in the UK Tour and also in Les Mis as Cosette in the West End.

Although JOJ is an amazing singer too. I love how this is video with Ramin and Sierra in the West End anniversary, but someone decided to put Hugh Panaro and Mary Michael Patterson who played Phantom and Christine on Broadway on the thumbnail.😂. Okay, the way the Phantom took off his hat, dramatically tosses aside his cloak and slicks back his hair. like yes sure I don't mind being imprisoned in this dungeon of yours 😍. Sure the Phantom loved her, but that doesnt mean you automatically are entitled to the person you love. He is a serial killer, a possessive emotional abuser, and I he is old enough to be her father too (if he ISN'T the father (which i think he is) Christine's mother supposedly freed him when she was like maybe 12 and he was the same age. The Viscount, though, wishes only the best for Christine, and does not attempt to restrict her from her life. The Phantom, on the other hand forces her to obey him, and although he did teach her to sing and advanced her career, that DOES NOT ENTITLE HIM TO HER. If you give someone a cookie that they didn't ask for, they are not obligated to pay for it. Similarly, the Phantom gave her his love, but she is not required and shouldn't be expected to reciprocate ESPECIALLY after he killed multiple people and tried to abduct her. Christine did, however, love him towards the beginning and he has a place in her heart as her Angel of Music, but not as a lover. And for those who do not believe how possessive he was, listen to any of his songs about Christine and he always has a couple lines about You will belong to me or You are mine! and not in a respectful way. I'm glad Christine got to be with the Viscount in the end, because it would be simply horrendous if she were to still choose the Phantom despite all of his treachery.
